Introduction: Immoral, known as Bobby, is a 7-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding by Deep Field, standing approximately 15.3hh. Located in Nanango, Queensland, he is EA registered. He is a well-educated performance horse currently competing successfully in eventing and showjumping, with a reputation for being both talented and exceptionally genuine.
Education, skills and experience: Bobby is currently competing and winning at 80cm eventing and has showjumping results up to 90cm. He is preparing to step up to 95cm eventing and is described as a brave and careful cross country horse with significant scope. He has also been exposed to trail riding, lunging and riding around cattle and sheep, and is comfortable around children, busy roads, machinery, livestock and dogs. His broad exposure and competition experience make him a versatile and well-rounded horse.
General demeanour under saddle: Under saddle, Bobby is willing, responsive and soft in the bridle, with a light mouth and the ability to willingly collect. He is tolerant of rider mistakes and is generally calm and reliable, although not completely unflappable. He is ridden in a soft rubber straight bar bit for all phases and is described as a very fun, willing horse who covers the ground well despite feeling compact to ride.
Current workload / fitness: Bobby is currently in full work and is being ridden five or more times per week while actively competing. He does not require regular riding to remain reliable and is considered safe to hop on after a spell.
Handling: Bobby is calm, safe and easy to manage. He is easy to catch, well mannered on the ground, leads calmly, ties up quietly, self-loads and travels well. He is reliable for the farrier, good for the vet and tolerant of handler mistakes. He may occasionally lay his ears back when being girthed but is all bluff.
Behaviour: Bobby is a straightforward horse both in and out of work. He does windsuck when tied up and may untie himself, however this is managed with a collar. Aside from this, he is described as safe, genuine and enjoyable to have around.
Feeding and management: Bobby currently has free access to quality round bale hay due to limited pasture. When in heavy work, he is fed Hygain Ice and Maxisoy twice daily. He holds his condition well and is happy in a herd, individual paddocking or a combination of stabling and turnout.
Medical history: Bobby has no past or present medical issues, injuries or medication requirements. He was last vaccinated in March 2026 for tetanus, strangles and Hendra, had his dental completed in January 2026 and is currently shod in front. Current x-rays less than three months old are available.
Rider Suitability: Bobby is suitable for a novice rider and would suit a junior rider, young rider, amateur adult or mature rider. He is described as safe and fun, making him an appealing option for a competitive young rider wanting to progress through the eventing levels, while also being suitable for a nervous adult returning to riding.
Reason for sale: Bobby is offered for sale due to genuine financial and life circumstance changes. He is ideally suited to a competitive young rider looking to progress through the eventing ranks or an adult rider wanting a safe, talented and enjoyable horse.
