Introduction: Carbie is an absolute dream to ride, handle and compete! He is so reliable that he would suit any rider from a confident novice and above AND every rider will fall in love with him! This sale presents a fabulous opportunity for someone to purchase a well bred, well educated gelding who is willing, kind and absolutely loves people!

Conformation: Carbie is a wonderful example of the modern performance horse - compact, athletic and refined. His paces display elasticity, power and activity.

Education, riding and experience: Carbie would be competent to compete at novice level dressage and produce a lovely dressage test. He has automatic flying changes and laterals established. Carbie is training elementary - shoulder in, travers and medium canter. This also makes him fabulous in the show ring and rideable, adjustable and competitive on the showjumping course!

Carbie is competitive, quick and rideable around the course. He is brave and bold so can get a little strong but he gives an amazing confidence to the rider as she knows he will always leave the ground. Carbie doesn’t stop and is not concerned by fill.

Carbie started eventing in 2024 with Kadi Eyecamp and showed himself to be bold and brave on cross country at EVA65 level, training EVA80.  

Carbie is a dream to take out, show, attend adult riding club, trail ride and ride around the farm. He is always safe with absolutely no dirt. Carbie is currently in work and competing. 

Handling: Carbie is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. He is great for the farrier and to clip. Carbie is very easy to load, travel and unload - in either a float or truck. He loves cuddles and affection.

Behaviour: Carbie is happy in big city show environments. He travels well - loads and unloads without fuss and eats and drinks well when away from home. Carbie is a wonderful horse to have at competitions with younger or nervous horses as he is a calming influence.

Carbie is sensible and reliable to ride and handle. He loves beach rides, trail rides and barback rides in a halter. He does not have any vices under-saddle or on the ground.

Feeding and management: Carbie is fed a simple diet - hay  - and when in work, a small am and pm feed. He is currently paddocked full time. Carbie is happy to be stabled at competitions and is happy in a herd environment or on his own with a horse in sight.

Medical history: Carbie does not have any current medical issues. He has xrays and vet check, from 2021, as well as a current vet check and xrays. All of Carbie’s medical history is available via his portfolio. 

Rider Suitability: Carbie would suit - and be an asset to - any rider from a ‘novice under instruction’ through to a competitive and capable rider. 

The type of rider/ home that we are looking for is with someone who:

• wants a well educated and safe horse to care for, love and enjoy

• will give him lots of affection

• is going to give him a long term home

Reason for sale: Carbie is very sadly for sale as his rider is moving up the showjumping heights and is purchasing a 120 schoolmaster.
