Introduction: Viktor of Alfheimr, known as Viktor, is a 10-year-old white dun Norwegian Fjord gelding standing approximately 14.2hh. Registered in the United States through NFHR, he is a well-educated and versatile horse suited to a variety of activities including dressage, showing and pleasure riding. Viktor is a compact, genuine type with a kind nature and established foundation.
Education, skills and experience: Viktor has an established level of education and is currently receiving additional training. He has experience in dressage, showing and trail riding, and has also undertaken low-level jump schooling over cavalettis and cross rails, as well as working equitation style obstacles. He has been to competitions and outings and has proven adaptable, including being comfortable in a busy city stable environment and enjoying beach rides, including swimming.
General demeanour under saddle: Under saddle, Viktor is adaptable and responds to the competence and confidence of his rider. He is safe and suitable for novices under instruction, while also offering a more forward and willing ride for a more experienced rider.
Current workload / fitness: Viktor is currently in light work and is being ridden one to two times per week. He does not require regular work to remain reliable and is considered safe, to hop on straight on, after a spell.
Handling: Viktor is easy to handle and well mannered on the ground. He is easy to catch, leads calmly, ties up quietly and loads and travels well, standing calmly and unloading without fuss. He is easy to wash, reliable for the farrier and good for the vet.
Behaviour: Viktor is a sensible and reliable horse both in and out of work. He is generally calm and steady, with no significant vices, and presents as a straightforward and manageable horse for day-to-day handling and riding.
Feeding and management: Viktor is easy to feed and currently lives on grass with a mineral supplement. He can be kept in a herd, on his own or in a combination of stabling and paddock environments, making him adaptable to a variety of management systems.
Medical history: Viktor can become mildly itchy from sandflies, however he does not have Queensland Itch. He was last vaccinated in March 2026 for Hendra and October 2025 for tetanus, with strangles also current, and his dental was completed in March 2025. He is currently very happy barefoot and a vet check is welcome at the buyer’s expense.
Rider Suitability: Viktor is best suited to a beginner plus rider and would suit a junior through to a mature rider. He is safe for novices under instruction but offers a more responsive ride for a more experienced rider. He would suit someone looking for a schoolmaster-type horse without major quirks for pleasure riding, dressage and low-level activities.
Reason for sale: Viktor is offered for sale due to his rider relocating back to the United States. He would best suit a pleasure-focused home looking to enjoy trail riding, occasional shows, dressage or low-level jumping.
