Viewmont Arni

Introduction: Arni is the ultimate competitive showjumper schoolmaster. He is kid friendly, straightforward, sound and vice free. Arni is part of the famous family of Viewmont ponies that have taught their riders beautifully and excelled across the disciplines. He has taken his last rider from jumping 55cm to jumping 95cm and winning at State and National level. He is very sadly for sale due to being outgrown.

Education, riding and experience: Arni is well schooled on the flat and would be competent to compete at preliminary level dressage. When ridden correctly, he works in a consistent frame. He is always responsive and willing, which also makes him rideable, adjustable and competitive on course.

Arni is competing 90-95cm with 100cm jump offs. He is honest, trustworthy, brave and is very careful around the course. Arni has competed in eventing and is brave and calm when ridden cross country. Arni loves trail riding and spending time with his person.

Arni is a true ‘junior’s schoolmaster’ - tolerant of rider mistakes and always aiming to please. He is always 100% safe. Arni is currently in work and competing. 

Handling: Arni is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. He is great for the farrier and vet. Arni is tolerant of handler mistakes, doesn’t take advantage and loves cuddles and affection.

Behaviour: Arni has traveled all over the countryside to compete. He is happy in big city and big show environments. He travels well - loads and unloads without fuss and eats and drinks well when away from home.  

Arni is sensible and reliable and to ride and handle. He does not have any vices under-saddle or on the ground. 

Feeding and management: Arni is fed a simple diet plus hay due to lack of grass. He is fine to live on grass if available and is a good doer without having any issues. Arni is easy to manage and can be stabled or paddock on his own or in a herd.

Medical history: Arni does not have any medical issues. He is given Pentosan and 4Cyte as a preventative, like most performance ponies and horses.

Rider Suitability: Arni would suit a beginner plus rider who is looking for a safe, straightforward and competitive pony.

Reason for sale: Arni is very sadly for sale due to his owner out growing him.
