Pacfic View Snowflake

Introduction: Snowflake is a beautiful Australian pony mare. She is a very safe leadline pony and also a competitive and fun pony for a keen and confident novice rider. Snowflake is ready to teach her next young rider!

Education, skills and experience: Snowflake is experienced to 65cm showjumping. She is fun, forgiving and responsive. Snowflake can put together a neat, correct dressage test when needed – she has proven herself in showing and preliminary level dressage.

General demeanor under saddle: Snowflake is a willing and responsive pony. This is what makes her a competitive pony. Snowflake loves her job!

Snowflake collects for a rider with an independent seat and understanding of contact. She is light and happy in a snaffle at all times, in all disciplines.

Snowflake is great on trails and roads. She attends pony club. Snowflake is familiar with farm life, machinery, dogs and kids. She is tolerant and safe. Snowflake thrives on routine.

Snowflake can, however, be bossy around food, can pin her ears back when the girth is being done up and won’t drink in the stable unless her bucket is elevated. She is a princess about some things! 

At busy gymkhanas or pony club day - not at shows or lessons - Snowflake can get tense, looky and has done a single pigroot. HOWEVER, this is only if a rider is nervous and grips with their knees and has an anxious contact on her reins.

Current workload/ fitness: Snowflake is ridden 1-2 plus days a week and is perfectly safe to hop straight on, after a spell. She is a pleasure to compete but benefits from a quick lunge first, if the show is busy.

Handling and behaviour: Snowflake is easy to handle, saddle, wash and float. She is easily caught by kids, especially if a carrot is involved. She is patient, kind and reliable.

Feeding and management: Snowflake is fed hay only at the moment. She is fed an appropriate hard feed when in regular work. She is an easy doer. Snowflake can be stabled or paddocked. She loves being stable and pampered. Snowflake is a pleasure to take to shows, travels well, eats and drinks happily. 

Medical history: Snowflake doesn’t have any medical concerns or management needs.

Rider Suitability: Snowflake is a super fun, competitive pony with loads of personality and ability. Snowflake is ideal for either:

• a beginner lead-line pony

• a first pony for a beginner in an experienced home or

• a confident novice rider, off the lead

Reason for sale: Snowflake is very sadly for sale as her rider, who has loved and ridden her for the last two years, has lost interest. She is a valuable part of her family and will only be sold to the right home and rider.
