Brewers Binnawee Space Cadet

Introduction: Swirly is a purebred Stock Horse by Brewers Binnawee Moulinrouge out of Binnawee Cinnamon. He is a stock horse through and through - tough, loyal and intelligent. Swirly has had an amazing life so far. He was purchased as a youngster by his current owner and has been exposed to everything life has to offer. Swirly has taken it all in his stride and has proven himself to be a safe, reliable and sensible allrounder while in their care.

Education, skills and experience: Swirly is very laid back - almost to the point of lazy - in the arena but he is not at all stubborn and doesn’t resist, he just needs to be reminded of his job. He can work in a nice frame when ridden correctly. Swirly does as much as he is asked to do and can get a little heavy in the bridle, if bored in the arena. He loves doing trot poles and the odd caveletti. He is more willing - but not forward - when doing this, competing and doing  work outside the arena.

Swirly has competed at ag shows, HRCAV club level, mustered cattle, been extensively trail ridden and is a happy guy who enjoys a variety of work. He is non-reactive even when crazy dogs chase foxes in front of him! Swirly is super safe to ride out, down roads and across open paddocks. He is ridden bareback, with others, on his own and loves mustering.

General demeanor under saddle: Swirly is kind and sensible under saddle. He has a snaffle mouth and is light in the bridle when outside the arena. Swirly is balanced, reliable and fun to ride. He is tolerant and respectful. Swirly can be ridden and competed anywhere without issues. He is used to agricultural shows, busy environments and is unphased by farm life, trucks, and tractors.

Current workload/ fitness: Swirly is currently in work and competing. 

Handling: Swirly is safe and easy to handle in all ways - to catch, shoe, wash, saddle and load, travel and unload in an angle load float.

Behaviour: Swirly is affectionate and is an absolute pleasure to have around. He does not have any quirks or vices under saddle. Swirly does not need to be ridden regularly and is safe after a spell. He attends ‘stay away’ shows happily, is calm in the yard or stable, eats and drinks perfectly when away from home.

Feeding and general management: Swirly lives in a grassy paddock and he is supplemented with hard feed and hay when needed. Swirly’s behaviour is not affected by feed. 

Medical history: Swirly does not have any medical issues and is in great health. He was not vetted when purchased as a youngster but he has no medical or management issues. 

Rider Suitability: While Swirly is very quiet, non reactive and kind in his current home, he is 6 years old and still needs to be given instructions. For this reason, we believe that Swirly would suit a novice to intermediate rider with a stable seat and steady hands. He would also be fine for someone ‘getting back into riding’.

The perfect home would be: with someone who wants a laid back and stress free horse for Adult Rider Club, Pony Club, trail rides and pleasure. Swirly thrives on variety and loves mixing arena work with trail adventures. He’s not the horse to be cooped up in the arena every day. Swirly is a gorgeous boy who will give you many years of love and enjoyment.

Reason for sale: Swirly is very reluctantly for sale because his owner prefers competing hotter and more forward horses.

Swirly’s owner says: We are absolutely devastated to put Swirly on the market but we know he had a huge amount to offer another rider - particularly one who wants a safe, reliable and laid back guy!
