Paulgren Park Valhalla

Introduction: Paulgren Park Valhalla (Prince) is a national-quality child’s hack with an impressive and consistent record at Royals, State and National level shows. A safe, trusted and much-loved member of his family for the last three years, Prince has been ridden and campaigned by a 14-year-old. He is a highly competitive small hack with the ring presence, education and temperament sought by top junior and interschool homes.

Education, skills and experience: Prince is well educated on the flat, shown successfully by a junior and has competed in interschool and dressage. A ribbon printing machine, he is always in the placings in every class. He can be ridden in a snaffle or a double (always a snaffle at home) and carries registrations with SHC, EA, Riding Pony and ANSA. Prince has qualified for all Royals 2027 and has competed, placed and won at National level, with multiple wins at Grand National qualifying shows.

General demeanour under saddle: Prince is a reliable, sensible and a straightforward ride. He willingly sits in a frame and collects. He adapts to the rider, tolerates mistakes and is not spooky or reactive. He is safe for less experienced riders and steps up with a more experienced rider. Prince only requires a short warm-up, even at large shows, and is unfazed by busy environments including show jumpers nearby. Prince is 'Mr Consistent' - his motto is 'no fuss and no stress'.

Current workload / fitness: Prince is in work, ridden three or more times per week and currently competing. He does not need daily riding to remain reliable and consistent.

Handling: On the ground, Prince is easy to catch, lead, tie, prep and shoe (fronts only) and is good for the vet. He travels well, including long-distance trips, and is settled at shows alone or in company. He is playful in an ‘in your pocket’ way, so he does require a capable child or adult handler.

Feeding and management: Prince manages well stabled or paddocked - on his own or in a herd. he is not concerned and remains calm even if stabled alone or last to come in.

Medical history: Prince does not have any past or present medical issues. He is up to date with vaccinations and dental. A recent vet check (including flexion tests) is available and further vetting is welcome at the buyer’s expense.

Rider suitability: Prince suits a confident novice to intermediate rider seeking a competitive small hack for showing, dressage and interschool.

Reason for sale: Prince is very sadly for sale as he has been outgrown by his rider.
