Introduction:
Entally Hocas Pocas, known as Pickles, is a 3-year-old Warmblood x Thoroughbred gelding by Mighty Magic. He is a quality, well-handled young prospect, ready to commence the breaking-in process.
With classic eventing bloodlines and a neat conformation and an appealing nature, Pickles offers a lovely blank canvas for an experienced rider or producer looking to develop a young horse for dressage, showing, eventing or showjumping.
Education, skills and experience:
Pickles is well handled and is not yet under saddle. He has been introduced to basic groundwork and lunging, providing a foundation for a professional to build upon.
Handling:
On the ground, Pickles leads calmly and ties up happily. Like any young horse, he can have a look at things and does require further handling and exposure to refine his ground work skills. He is however, a sensible young horse who is willing to learn and work.
Transport is available to Geelong on 12 November.
Feeding and management:
Pickles is currently fed hard feed, hay and grass. He has been managed both in a herd situation and paddocked on his own.
Medical history:
Pickles does not have any past or present medical issues or injuries. He is up to date with vaccinations, dental, worming and hoof trims. Pre-purchase vet checks are welcome at the buyer's expense.
Rider Suitability:
Given his age and stage of education, Pickles is best suited to an owner or program that is experienced in starting and producing young horses.
Reason for sale:
Pickle's owner is moving interstate and does not have sufficient time to educate another young horse.
