Introduction:

Three child owners. Three beginner riders. Three wonderful partnerships.

Koorana Timeless Edition, known as Twix, is a fabulous children's schoolmaster who has helped three young riders learn the ropes, build confidence and progress into competitive riding.

Twix has been owned by three families, with each child starting their partnership with her as a beginner rider. She has been a kind, safe and reliable teacher, giving her riders the confidence to develop their skills while having the education and ability to progress with them.

What makes Twix particularly special is her ability to adjust to the child on her back. She comes back for a less experienced rider, is tolerant of mistakes and provides a safe, confidence-building ride, yet has all the buttons to step up when her rider is ready. She is not simply a quiet children's pony; she is a genuine performance pony with a fabulous competition record across dressage, showing, eventing and showjumping.

Twix has been with her current young rider for four years, enjoying a lovely and successful partnership. Having once again done a wonderful job of educating her rider and helping her progress, she has now very sadly been outgrown.

Twix is offered with her professionally fitted saddle and bridle, with a wardrobe of rugs and gear also available for purchase.

Education, skills and experience:

Twix is a well-educated, experienced and competitive performance pony who has enjoyed success across dressage, showjumping, eventing, Interschools and Pony Club.

She is beautifully established on the flat, soft and light in the bridle, willingly works in a frame and has the education to teach a young rider correct aids, balance and more advanced flatwork.

Twix has competed in showjumping and eventing to 60cm and has also enjoyed trail riding and beach outings. Her extensive experience means she is comfortable in a variety of environments, from everyday riding at home to busy competitions.

Twix understands and enjoys her job and has the versatility and experience to be a valuable addition to a young rider's development.

Twix is currently competing. She holds lifetime EA registration and is registered as an Australian Riding Pony, Part Welsh, Saddle Pony and Part-bred Australian Stud Book pony.

General demeanour under saddle:

Under saddle, Twix is kind, willing, responsive and beautifully educated.

Her greatest strength is her ability to adapt to her rider. She is sensible and accommodating for a beginner child rider, adjusting to their level of confidence and ability while stepping up for a more experienced, competitive junior.

Twix is tolerant of rider mistakes, willingly collects in a snaffle and has a lovely understanding of the aids. She has the responsiveness and education to be competitive without being too much for a less experienced child.

She is calm, safe and reliable, remaining sensible even when something unexpected happens. Twix is also unbothered by dogs, busy agricultural shows and the general activity that comes with children's riding and competitions.

Current workload / fitness:

Twix is currently in work and ridden three or more times per week.

Handling:

On the ground, Twix is unflappable, kind and straightforward to manage. She is easy to catch, leads and ties quietly, self-loads and travels calmly, and is straightforward to clip and wash.

She is reliable for the farrier and vet, tolerant of handler mistakes and accustomed to being managed by children. Twix can be paddocked in a herd or on her own.

Feeding and management:

Twix is currently maintained on a simple diet of hay and chaff, which keeps her in lovely condition while remaining sensible and rideable.

Medical history:

Twix has no known medical issues or injuries and does not require supplements or prescription medication. She was vaccinated for Tetanus and Strangles and had her dental done in March 2026. Pre-purchase vet checks are welcome at the buyer's expense.

Rider Suitability:

Twix is a fabulous choice for a family looking for a safe, kind and beautifully educated children's schoolmaster who can teach their child and progress with them.

Having already been owned by three beginner child riders, she has demonstrated her ability to adjust to a child's confidence, tolerate the inevitable mistakes that come with learning and provide a positive, enjoyable riding experience.

She is particularly well suited to a child wanting to develop their skills under regular professional instruction, enjoy Pony Club and Interschools, and progress into competitive dressage, showing, showjumping and eventing.

While Twix is suitable for beginner/ novice child riders, she is also a genuine performance pony with the education, responsiveness and competitive ability to be enjoyed by a more capable rider.

Twix offers a wonderful combination: the kindness and reliability that parents value, together with the education and performance ability that allow a child to keep learning, improving and achieving.

Reason for sale:

A very sad sale as Twix's current rider has outgrown her. Having been such an important part of three children's riding journeys, Twix is ready to help another young rider learn the ropes, build confidence and enjoy everything this fabulous pony has to offer.
