Introduction:

Grantulla Daft Punk, known as Tippa, is a well-educated 7yo black Welsh D gelding with the stamp, presence and training to shine in dressage and showing, with the versatility to enjoy working equitation, showjumping and pleasure riding. Registered with EA and the Welsh Society and currently in work, Tippa presents as an attractive, correctly produced large pony for riders seeking a polished and competitive all-rounder.

Education, skills and experience:

Dressage and showing are Tippa's favourite disciplines and where he shows exceptional talent. He is very well educated on the flat with consistent straight dressage score in the 70% range. He is currently competing, with significant wins and placings up to State level.

Tippa is also happy and confident jumping up to 70cm with his current rider, has had low-level cross-country schooling, worked confidently over working equitation-type obstacles, has been ridden bareback and lunges - although this is not needed in terms of management. He is used to busy roads and dogs and has been happily stabled in busy environments. 

General demeanour under saddle:

Under saddle, Tippa willingly collects and is responsive and light in the bridle. He is straightforward to ride, adapts to the ability of the rider and is tolerant of rider mistakes. He is a willing and competitive performance pony - rather than a beginner's plodder. He is very calm and reliable but not completely unflappable, if something major happens, he may stop and look.

Current workload / fitness:

Tippa is in regular work, ridden three or more times per week. He does not require daily riding to stay reliable and is described as safe to hop straight on after a spell.

Handling:

On the ground, Tippa is easy to catch, well mannered, leads and ties quietly, and is straightforward to wash and clip. He self-loads and travels calmly, stands quietly on the float/truck and unloads without fuss. He is reliable for the farrier and vet, is currently shod and can be kept barefoot.

Feeding and management:

Tippa is managed simply and is currently on grass and fed lucerne hay with lucerne chaff, beet pulp and a basic vitamin mix. He is currently kept in his own paddock. He is comfortable stabled - including in busy environments -  24 hours, 12/12, or paddocked. 

Medical history:

Tippa does not have any medical issues, injuries, supplements or prescription medication. Vet checks are welcome at the buyer’s expense.

Rider Suitability:

Tippa is best suited to an intermediate child, teen or small adult rider who appreciates a performance type pony and is looking for a quality, well educated, enjoyable all-rounder. He would also absolutely shine as a high level dressage and/ or show pony.

Reason for sale:

Tippa is adored by his family and is very sadly for sale as his current rider wants to compete 80cm+.
