Introduction: Penny is a ‘Penny’ - well bred, athletic, and is currently in work. She is bred to excel in showjumping with the bloodlines, conformation and character to make a fabulous horse for a competent young rider or petite amateur.
Penny presents an opportunity for an astute buyer to purchase a very well priced, competitive and honest horse.
Bloodlines: Penny was sired by Our Peace Officer - a stallion bred by Lyndsey Bromfield of Peace Performance Horses at Ariah Park, NSW. Our Peace Officer has sired a line of handy jumping horses; Franklin’s Peace, Peace Dreams, Peace Destiny, Peace Maker, Peace Ambassador to name a few. All very successful horses who have been in the winner’s circle with both junior and adult riders.
Conformation: Penny has been allowed to mature slowly and, as such, has remained sound and injury free. She is a smaller, compact type of modern warmblood - athletic and with enough blood and athleticism to navigate the bigger tracks.
Education, riding and experience: Penny has competed in many amateur classes, and up to 120cm in open competitions with plenty of results to show. Penny is a careful jumper who is brave and willing, while being competitive in jump offs.
Penny is the 'point and shoot/ take you to the jump’ type. She is forgiving and clever enough to correct a misjudged distance. These qualities make her a super team mate for someone wanting to get results in the ring. She is straightforward with a soft mouth.
Current workload/ fitness: Penny is currently in work.
Handling: Penny loves being fussed over - easy to catch, groom, saddle, wash, float and for the farrier. Penny is a no-nonsense ‘get on with it’ type. She is a hardy, brave and handy little horse.
Behaviour: Penny is part thoroughbred and can be keen so is not suitable for a beginner rider. She benefits from routine and a job to do.
Feeding and management: Penny is a good doer. She is only fed additional feed when in full work consisting of hay/chaff and vitamins/minerals.
Medical history: Penny does not have any medical issues or previous injuries.
Rider Suitability: Penny requires a competent and capable rider due to her forward and willing temperament. She is not a beginner or novice ‘plodder’ type.
Reason for sale: Penny is much loved and very reluctantly for sale because her owner has finished university and will be working full time from mid July and does not have time for her.
With Penny’s conformation, ability and talent, she is perfect for a keen competent rider, looking for a reasonably priced and straightforward showjumper.
