Introduction: Luna Eclipse (Clipsy) is a beautiful large pony mare - welsh x quarter horse. She is a super competitive and fun showjumper for a keen and confident rider. Clipsy has won at State Interschool level and is ready to teach her next young rider!
Education, skills and experience: Clipsy is experienced to 90cm showjumping. At 80cm and below, she is point and shoot - fun forgiving and responsive. Over 80cm, she loves her job but needs a rider who can see a distance and support. Regardless of the height, Clipsy lives for the jump-off – agile, clever, and quick on her feet.
Clipsy has trained - with ease - over the majority of the EVA60 and EVA80 cross country jumps at Fig Tree Pocket. She shows definite eventing potential for the right rider!
While jumping is her clear passion, Clipsy can put together a neat, correct dressage test when needed – she’s proven herself in combined training and preliminary level dressage.
Clipsy is currently competing up to 80cm. She has qualified for the QLD State Interschool Championships in the 70 and 80cm showjumping as well as 80cm combined training.
General demeanor under saddle: Clipsy is a willing and responsive pony. This is what makes her a competitive performance pony. Clipsy loves her job and can get keen and a bit spicy when entering the showjumping area but is always totally safe.
Clipsy collects easily for a rider with an independent seat and understanding of contact. She is light and happy in a snaffle at all times, in all disciplines.
Clipsy is not spooky and has no vices. She is great on trails and roads. She attends pony club regularly. Clipsy is familiar with dogs and kids. She is tolerant and safe in all situations.
Current workload/ fitness: Clipsy is ridden 3 plus days a week and is perfectly safe to hop straight on, after a spell.
Handling: Clipsy is easy to catch, handle, saddle, wash and float. She is patient, kind and reliable.
Behaviour: Clipsy thrives on consistent work, making her a great partner for a motivated rider.
Feeding and management: Clipsy is fed hay only plus a handful of CEN supplement each day. She is an easy doer. Clipsy can be stabled or paddocked. Clipsy is a pleasure to take to shows, travels well, eats and drinks happily.
Medical history: Clipsy doesn’t have any medical concerns. Her owners have vet reports and crays available from when they purchased her three years ago.
Rider Suitability: She’s best suited to a confident, competitive junior who likes to go fast, ride sharp turns, and doesn’t mind a bit of spice. She can get excited entering the ring, so she benefits from a calm rider who can help her settle and focus.
Clipsy is a super fun, competitive pony with loads of personality and ability. Not for a beginner, but absolutely ideal for a confident junior rider who wants to win, give most things a crack, and have fun doing it.
Reason for sale: Clipsy is very sadly for sale due to being outgrown. She is a valuable part of her family and will only be sold to the right home and rider.
