Crown of Stars (Pepsi) is the quintessential competitive allrounder pony. From State Championships, cross country schooling, showing, pony club, sporting, trails in the High Country, and bareback rides - he has done it all! Pepsi has taught his rider, safely and willingly, for the last three years with his current owner. He has very sadly been outgrown and has many, many years left to teach his next young rider.
Bloodlines: Pepsi is sired by Chelleason Crown Jewel out of Bracknell Prommoon. Both parents are highly accomplished show horses, under saddle as well as led, and producers of fabulous show horses, all rounders and endurance horses with wonderful temperaments.
Education, riding and experience: Pepsi competes at preliminary level dressage with good scores. He is well campaigned as a pony club mount, loves cross country and showjumping to 80cm and is unphased by life on a working farm. For the last three years, he has been handled and ridden exclusively by his capable and confident junior rider.
Flat work/ dressage: Pepsi requires a kind, balanced rider with soft hands. He is fabulous on the flat, responsive, willing and well educated.
Jumping: Pepsi has jumped and schooled cross country up to 80cm and is both careful and brave.
Experiences or other skills: Pepsi is used to ag shows, fire works, busy stables and farm life - trucks, tractors and livestock.
General demeanor under saddle: Pepsi is very well behaved, safe, fun, willing and he has excellent ‘brakes’. He is unphased by dogs, kangaroos and alpacas. Pepsi is calm and confident at all times and not at all spooky but he is not completely unflappable. He does not have any vices under saddle but he could take advantage of a nervous rider by simply ‘doing his own thing’.
Current workload/ fitness: Pepsi is currently in work and is completely safe, even when he is not being worked very much or not regularly.
Handling: Pepsi is very straightforward to catch, handle, wash, float, groom, saddle and for the farrier. He is a ‘dream’ to float, take to comps, catch, shoe, clip and everything else.
Behaviour: Pepsi boasts a lovely temperament, making him a joy to travel with. He always eats and drinks when away and isn't 'matey' with others. Pepsi can be nippy when you do up the girth. However, he is reliable, safe, willing and trustworthy at all times.
Feeding and management: No special feeding requirements. Currently fed chaff, allrounder pellets and grass hay. Pepsi is happy in a small herd or with horses over the fence. He is happy travelling and being in a yard or stable.
Medical: No medical issues.
Rider Suitability: Pepsi would suit a capable and confident small adult or young teen wanting to excel in multiple disciplines.
Reason for sale: Pepsi has been very sadly outgrown by his rider. He is in impeccable condition and has many, many years left to teach new riders. Pepsi loves his kid and is a very competitive pony that can teach a capable child how to succeed across multiple disciplines.
This is a heartbreaking sale, and only because the rider wants to specialise in SJ and go up the heights, so she is moving onto a large warmblood.
