The Ambassadore (Barney) is ultimate educated and kind schoolmaster for either a junior/ young rider or an adult amateur. He is a compact and solidly built gelding standing 15.3hh, so suitable to a range of riders.

Barney represents the best of his breed - intelligent, athletic, level headed, talented and trainable. At 10 years old, he has a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime ahead of him to nurture another rider.

Barney has had an excellent education and is an experienced eventer having competed to 2* with his previous rider (Kate Rogers - EA Coach adn TB retainer) and up to 1* with his current 18 year old owner.

Barney is - to quote his rider - ‘a very fun showjumper who will take any distance and has never stopped’ having competed to 110cm and schooled round 115cm courses with scope to go higher.

Barney regularly places at the top of the scoreboard in eventing dressage - as well as straight dressage - with scores consistently at 70%+ at both novice level and 1* dressage. He has recently debuted at Elementary level for a 6th place.

Barney is fit and in full work. He is the same to ride in any environment and after a spell. He doesn’t ‘require’ regular work apart from fitness and schooling for cross country/ eventing. He is sound and not fed any special feed, no supplements and no medication. His owners welcome any vet check, xray, scan or blood test.

Barney is a pleasure to be around. He is very cuddly, loves people and enjoys trail riding, bareback riding and swimming. Barney is happy on his own in the paddock or with others - he is everyone’s best friend - human or horse. He loves the attention of being stabled at home or at a competition. Barney is super easy to catch, handle, shoe and float.

Barney is for sale due to no fault of his own, unfortunately his rider is time poor due to year 12. Barney loves competing and a busy performance horse routine meaning he would be wasted sitting in the paddock. He would suit a confident junior, young rider or amateur, especially somebody keen on showjumping, interschools, combined training or eventing. Recently, he has done a bit more show jumping and dressage, as he has a real talent for it.
