Storm Haven Sundance is not only the ultimate educated, safe and kind first or second pony, he is a proven and competitive schoolmaster for showjumping and eventing.

Sunny represents the best of his breed - the Australian Pony - obedient and good natured. At 15 years old, he has a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime ahead of him to nurture another rider. Sunny has had an excellent education and is an experienced eventer and showjumper.

To quote Sunny’s owners - ‘not only has Sunny taught Zara and encouraged her - from being a beginner through to a capable and confident rider - I always know that Sunny will look after her and that she is perfectly safe on him’.

Highly accomplished and competitive, Sunny is a ‘ribbon machine’ - he nevers comes home without a ribbon and wins the rug! He has competed up to 85cm and is happiest between 60 and 75cm. Sunny was recently awarded Reserve Champion 60cm Primary Show Jumper at the 2024 Victorian State Interschools

Sunny is the perfect first off the lead pony as he is happy to plod around, is voice command to walk, trot and canter and then he happily goes up another gear to win a jump off! He loves water, trail riding and bareback rides!

Sunny is fit and in work. He is the same to ride in any environment and after a spell. He doesn’t ‘require’ regular work and is currently ridden 1-2 times a week. He is sound and not fed any special feed - no supplements and no medication. His owners welcome any vet check, xray, scan or blood test.

Sunny is a pleasure to be around. He is everyone’s best friend - human or horse. Sunny loves the attention of being stabled at home or at a competition. He is super easy to catch, handle, shoe and float. Sunny’s current owners were a non-horsey family and managed him very easily.

Sunny is for sale due to no fault of his own, unfortunately his rider has outgrown him and moved onto a larger horse. He would suit a novice child rider (and above) for showjumping, eventing or pony club. Sunny may need grass reins with a beginner. He is the perfect first or second pony.
